Our summer camp runs two sessions in June and July for kids ages 4 to 12. Same coaches as our regular CJJA Kids classes. Pick 5 days per week or 3 days per week per session.

At Charlotte Jiu-Jitsu Academy, our youngest students build more than just coordination. They build courage, grit, and discipline that lasts a lifetime. Parents who train too can see adult membership pricing or check the adult class schedule.
Coach Jake leads CJJA Kids. He has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 12 years, starting as a kid himself. Today he is a brown belt, an active competitor, and has been running his own kids program at CJJA for over a year. His goal: every kid feels welcome, learns real Jiu-Jitsu, and has fun doing it.

Coach Bri is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a purple belt. She leads our Abuse Prevention sessions and coaches alongside Jacob.

Just comfy gym clothes, T-shirt and shorts or leggings are perfect. No special gear needed for the first visit.
No. Try two free classes first, see if your child likes it, and then we'll explain uniforms (called "Gi") and gear options, no pressure.
Absolutely. You're welcome to stay, watch, and ask questions. We want parents to feel comfortable and see how we run things. We have a viewing room and tv set up with another angle to see as well.
Yes. We've worked with every type of kid, quiet, wild, athletic, or brand new to sports. Our coaches know how to help kids feel included and have a great time.
